About Us - lavenderrise

We are a husband and wife team, whose passion for photography has naturally grown into a business. Lavender Rise Photography was established with the intent of offering families, couples and individuals an alternative to studio portrait photography with a more relaxed, fun and casual photography experience. In addition to this we wanted a place to showcase our other photography work and make it available as fine art prints or as stock photos. We have been actively practicing photography for the past 15 years, and with the advent of the digital camera we have been able to expand our skills and techniques into developing and editing wonderful photographs. You can view our work in our Portfolio or on our photography blog. We are located near Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and primarily service the Lambton County area. If you would be interested in learning more about what we offer in our portrait photography sessions and picture packages, go to our Session Information page.

Portraiture As parents of seven children, we know how fun and busy it is raising a family. Life is continually changing and we find our children growing up before our very eyes. It is our pleasure to capture life’s changing moments in the everyday beauty that surrounds us. We are natural light photographers and enjoy taking relaxed casual portraits outdoors, or in places that let in lots of natural light. We want you to be comfortable in your environment, whether it be your living room, backyard, favourite park, or at the beach. It is our goal to capture who you really are as an individual, couple, or family. We remember moments, not days.

Fine Art and Stock Photography The world around us is full of interesting sights and landscapes. We started many years ago capturing these images on film and have now continued to do so with our digital cameras. From sunrise and sunset to flowers, rocks and trees, life is all around us. Many images tell a story and are pleasing to observe. Our images can be both printed for display purposes or electronically transferred for publication usage. Review our galleries or let us know if there is something in particular you are looking for.
